No problem,” he said. “It doesn’t matter. You must know where you are, what you have to do, what you want to say,” he said, when asked about his feelings about being a backbencher now.<br /><br />“It’s when you refuse to accept changes and talk and do things which are not correct and not proper; that’s where you can create problems,” he added.<br />Youngsters’ pledge: Scouts taking their oath at the gathering in Kuala Lumpur Saturday. Abdullah was there at the celebration that was launched by Muhyiddin.<br /><br />During his premiership, Abdullah had received constant criticisms from his predecessor Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad.<br /><br />Speaking to reporters after attending the launch of the Scouts Association of Malaysia centenary celebration by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin here yesterday, Abdullah also said Umno and Gerakan in Penang should discard any animosity between them for Barisan Nasional’s sake.<br /><br />“Whatever mistakes or inadequacies in the past that caused our loss in Penang should be given attention and corrected,” he said.<br /><br />He voiced optimism that the BN was capable of wresting Penang back from Pakatan Rakyat, so long as the state Barisan’s strength was restored.<br /><br />Abdullah said Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s appointment as the party’s state liaison chief would be good for Penang Barisan as he was a good leader.<br /><br />He added that he had earlier expressed his wish to resign as the Penang Umno chief.<br /><br />Abdullah, who is Kepala Batas Umno division chief, also said party president Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak should be allowed to decide whether BN would contest the Penanti by-election.<br /><br />“Whatever the decision is, we must adhere to it,” he added.Law (LLB) Centerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04830799637193571269noreply@blogger.com
